Panacur 100 wormer is a ready to use broad spectrum worm drench for control of benzimidazole sensitive mature and immature roundworms and lungworms in cattle, and for the control of large strongyles, small strongyles, ascarids and pinworms in horses.
Panacur 100 contains fenbendazole, a member of the benzimadole family of drenches. Panacur 100 is sensitive against both mature (adult) and immature (larval) fenbendazole senstive nematode parasites. Panacur 100 has activity (80 to 90%) against inhibited (hypobiotic) larvae of Ostertagia in cattle.
Panacur 100 is effective against sensitive strains of the following internal parasites:
Cattle:
Barbers Pole Worm (Haemonchus spp)
Small Brown Stomach Worm (Trichostrongylus axei)
Small Intestinal Worm (Cooperia spp)
Thin Necked Intestinal Worm (Nematodirus spp)
Nodule Worm (Oesophagostomum radiatum)
Whipworm (Trichuris spp)
Capillaria spp
Lungworms (Dictocaulus viviparous)
Hookworm (Bunostumum phlebotomum)
Panacur also aids in the control of cattle tapeworm (Monezia spp)
Horses:
Large Strongyles (Strongylus vulgaris, S. edentalus, S equinus)
Small Strongyles (Cyathostomum spp, Triodontophorus spp)
Ascarids (Parascaris equorum)
Pinworms (Oxyuris equi)
Dosage: Cattle - 3.75ml/50kg bodyweight. Horses - 5ml/50kg bodyweight ( 10ml/20kg for S. westeri) as an oral drench. |
Panacur 100 does not stain or dispose animals to photosensitisation. Panacur 100 is palatable and readily accepted by livestock. It may be administered concurrently with vaccines, pour-on lice treatments and dipping operations.
Directions for Use:
Shake Container before use. Panacur 100 is ready to use. No dilution or mixing is necessary. May be administered through standard drenching equipment. After use, wash equipment in clean water.
Dose Rate Cattle: 3.75mL Panacur 100 per 50kg bodyweight (7.5mg fenbendazole/kg bodyweight)
Recommendations for use:
Cattle:
For control of liver fluke (Fasciola hepatica) in cattle as well as the above-mentioned internal parasites, Panacur 100 can be mixed with Fasinex or Fasicare - see table below. The mixture is stable for up to 12 months at 30 degrees celsius (room temperature). Shake mixture vigorously for 2 minutes or use mechanical mixing prior to use.
The mixture with Fasinex or Fasicare should not be used in horses.
Panacur 100 Mixed With:
Fasinex 100 Fasicare 120 Fasinex 240
Panacur at 3.75mL per 50kg plus Fasinex 100 at 6mL per 50kg bodyweight Mixture should be given at 9.75mL per 50kg bodyweight
Panacur at 3.75mL per 50kg plus Fasicare 120 at 5mL bodyweight Mixture should be given at 8.75mL per 50kg bodyweight
